Terms & Conditions – drmed.ie

 

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.drmed.ie and the online medical consultation services provided by drmed.ie (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our services.

1. About drmed.ie

drmed.ie is an Irish online medical consultation service providing remote GP consultations by phone and secure video. Medical services are provided by Dr Meheruni Shah, a General Practitioner registered with the Irish Medical Council.

Our services are available seven days a week from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

2. Nature of the Service

drmed.ie provides non-emergency medical consultations. Services include, where clinically appropriate:

  • Online GP consultations (phone or video)

  • Medical advice and treatment

  • Prescriptions and repeat prescriptions

  • Sick certificates and fit-to-work certificates

  • Medical referrals

  • Care for adults, children, and infants

Online consultations have limitations and are not a replacement for emergency or in-person care where clinically required.

3. Medical Emergencies

drmed.ie does not provide emergency services.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, you must call 112 or 999 immediately or attend your nearest Emergency Department.

4. Eligibility to Use the Service

You may use drmed.ie if:

  • You are 18 years or older, or

  • You are a parent or legal guardian booking on behalf of a child or infant

By using the service, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful.

5. Booking & Consultations

To book a consultation:

  1. Complete the online information form

  2. Make the required payment

  3. Connect directly via phone, or video using the provided contact options

Consultations are provided on a pay-per-consultation basis and are subject to doctor availability during working hours.

6. Prescriptions & Medical Certificates

Prescriptions, medical certificates, referrals, and other documentation are issued solely at the clinical discretion of Dr Shah, in line with Irish medical regulations and clinical guidelines.

We do not guarantee that a prescription, certificate, or referral will be issued following a consultation.

7. Fees & Payments

  • All fees must be paid in advance before a consultation begins

  • Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers

  • drmed.ie does not store full payment card details

Fees are clearly displayed on the website and may change from time to time.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds are generally not provided once a consultation has taken place.

Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Technical issues preventing the consultation

  • Duplicate or incorrect charges

Refund requests must be submitted by contacting drmmhltd.ie@gmail.com.

9. User Responsibilities

By using drmed.ie, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical information

  • Follow medical advice responsibly

  • Use the service respectfully and lawfully

  • Not misuse the service or contact systems

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate access if misuse or abusive behaviour occurs.

10. Limitations of Online Consultations

You acknowledge that:

  • Online consultations rely on the information you provide

  • Certain conditions may require physical examination or in-person assessment

  • drmed.ie may advise you to seek face-to-face medical care where appropriate

We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by users.

11. Data Protection & Privacy

Your personal and medical data is handled in accordance with:

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

  • The Irish Data Protection Act 2018

12. Intellectual Property

All content on www.drmed.ie, including text, logos, branding, and design, is the property of drmed.ie and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.

13. Website Availability

We aim to keep drmed.ie available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:

  • drmed.ie shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant consultation

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for matters that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
